PHOTO DIARY: MIAMI ON FILM

Miami is just one of those places you have to throw yourself into, its not a spectator sport. Drink mojitos for breakfast, jump in the pool, dance on the tables. You go all in. This was my first trip to Miami, my very good friend Ali, a Florida native took me on a 4 day adventure to stay with her lovely friend Jeska who resides in South Beach. We were so lucky to actually stay above the AMAZING Rudolf Budja art gallery, which was an insanely inspiring experience to wake up to Warhols every morning. Thank you so much to Jes & the Budja’s for having me.

Miami is known for its art scene, night life and rich culture. I tried to get the biggest dose of this during my stay, if I had to recommend things to do I’d say: Marvel at the art at Rudolf Budja gallery, have lunch by the water at The Standard, have a swim and a cocktail at The Delano, eat dinner at Gigi’s, get drinks at The Broken Shaker and Radio Bar, party at Bardot and LIV. And then set aside a whole day to explore Wynwood, the design district where EVERY wall of the building are covered in blindingly awesome colorful murals. And grab coffee at Panther while you’re down there!

Also a thank you to my friend Ali, for getting my ass up to go on a new adventure. I have never met anyone like Ali before, it incredibly motivating just to be around her. She is one of those friends that makes you feel fearless, creative and just alive in general. I am so grateful to have met her 4 years ago. Thank you for taking me to your homeland!

I am going back to Miami in 2 months, so if anyone has any other recommendations please let me know. For now, here are some snaps from the disposable cameras Ali and I carried around. -Shoutout to me being the palest person in Miami!

These photos are so fun!! I love Miami, when we went for David’s birthday last year we grabbed coffee and crepes at A La Folie Cafe on Espanola Way. It’s super cute & the food is yummy 🙂
