Budget beauty buy of the week

Hello everyone! I want to wish you all a very happy new year, I hope 2013 brings fun, love and new things to all of you! …Speaking of new things, I have decided to start doing beauty reviews on my blog after I got a few comments and tweets asking about my everyday make up and hair routine. I am not any kind of beauty expert, but I am a total hair & make up product junkie (and hoarder) and have picked up loads of helpful tips and tricks from working on so many film and photo shoots over the years. Each week I will be doing a short-and-sweet review of a smashing BUDGET beauty product that I can’t live without. Many of us have resolutions to save a little more money this year, so hopefully I can help! Please don’t be shy and tell me what you think of the review, your experiences or suggestions. First up, The ELF (Eyes Lips Face) High Definition Power: I purchased the ELF High definition Powder after seeing it featured in many Youtube tutorials and now I use it almost everyday. The powder comes in quite a large container with a puff and only costs $6! It is a very light translucent powder that does a good job of mattifying your foundation without drying out your face. Be careful not to use too much as an excessive amount of powder can look a bit grey. But other than that its great and long lasting- great for photoshoots, bloggers/ models/ instagramers! Tip: for an even and flawless application use a large fine and soft bristle make up brush instead of the puff. You can buy it from the ELF online store here.
